My quick opinion on the iPad

Do I like it? No, I think it's a close-minded piece of crap, as I think all Apple products.

Am I tempted to buy one? Unlike most other Apple gadgets, this one did not tempt me one bit.

Will I try to dissuade everyone from buying it? No, I appreciate Apple for what it does. Unfortunately, what Apple does goes against my principles. However, I certainly believe that there are people for whom an Apple product would be perfect for.

How well do I think it well sell? I typically don't believe in seeing the future. But I will throw down my prediction that the iPad will sell more units in the same timeframe than the Apple TV, Kindle, or all traditional convertible Windows Tablet PCs combined, yet marginally fewer units compared to iPhones, iPod Touchs, or netbooks.

iriver Spinn

Most of the general US public has probably never heard of this device, maybe not even the company. So to give a little background: iriver is a Korean company that has been making digital audio players since y2k (meaning before the first iPod, which makes me sad when people hear the brand and think it's an iPod knockoff). Their products have always emphasized quality and design. Sounds cliché right? But these guys are serious. If you thought iPods were well-engineered, wait to you see iriver devices.
